Coming up in this weeks Slow cooker classes we are doing Chicken Tikka Masala, a little bit different to any dishes we have tried in class previously. We had a request from someone on our course to try a curry this because she has never tried to make one herself. Like all of our recipies this one is really straight forward and is a perfect meal for this time of the year.
This recipe serves 4-6 people.
Ingredients;
700 g Chicken Breasts, chopped into bite-sized pieces
1 Onion
400 g Chopped Tomatoes
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Garlic Puree
3 tbsp Tomato Puree
150 g Tikka Masala Paste
Before Serving;
4 tbsp Mango Chutney
2 tsp Garam Masala
100 ml Creme Fraiche
Method
Put all ingredients into the slow cooker pan and cook on High for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours.
Make sure the meat is fully cooked through and then stir in the Garam Masala, Mango Chutney and Creme Fraiche.
Serve piping hot with rice (I like Pilau rice best but use whatever you prefer) if you are wanting to make your meal a bit more special serve with warm naan bread and poppadoms.
